Sino-Russia Tourism Cooperation Forum Held Successively in Beijing

On March 24, Sino-Russia Tourism Cooperation Forum for “Russia Tourism Year in China” was held successfully in Beijing. Wang Qishan, vice Premier of the State Council and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Russia Tourism Year and China Tourism Year on the Chinese Side, and Vladislav Surkov, Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Russia Tourism Year and China Tourism Year on the Russian Side attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Themed “turning tourism cooperation into a new highlight in Sino-Russia strategic cooperation”, the forum featured nearly 1000 participants from Chinese and Russian governments, business communities, and academic communities, etc.

 

Shao Qiwei, chairman of China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) and Executive Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Russia Tourism Year and China Tourism Year on the Chinese Side delivered a keynote speech. CNTA vice chairman Du Jiang and president Dai Bin of China Tourism Academy (CTA) also made keynote speeches on “upgrading quality, safeguarding rights and interests, and promoting a steady growth of Sino-Russia tourism market through joint efforts" and on “free visitation between the two countries lays a strategic foundation for tourism cooperation and government dialogue”, respectively. As the moderator, CTA vice president Zhang Dong chaired the sessions of keynote speech, roundtable discussion and forum conclusion, etc.

Finally, on behalf of both parties, CNTA vice president Zhu Shanzhong and Deputy Director-General Gregory Sarishvili of the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism concluded the Forum.
