Annual Report of China Inbound Tourism Development 2017 Released in Beijing

On the afternoon of September 28, The Third Finance China V Forum: New Opportunity of All-for-one Tourism was held in Beijing. CTA Vice President Li Zhongguang led a delegation to attend the conference and he gave a keynote speech.

At the conference, Dr. Li Chuangxin of CTA Institute of International Tourism Development released the Annual Report of China Inbound Tourism Development 2017 on behalf of the research team. The report pointed out that inbound tourism was the basic indicator for measuring a State’s comprehensive strength of tourism industry and its level of international competition. In 2016, China inbound tourism market growth was continuously and steadily increased; the market structure already appeared the tendency of optimization; international tourism surplus was further expanded; the vitality of countries along the “One Belt and One Road” in China inbound tourism market increasingly strengthened. All those achievements were thanks to the comprehensive development of China tourism industry, convenience of visa application, increase of international air lines, implementation of tax exemption and tax reimbursement policies, activities of a series of tourism year, and other positive factors.

Dr. Yang Jinsong of CTA Institute of International Tourism Development released the Report of Outbound Tourism Tendency in the Golden Week of 2017 National Day which was jointly prepared by CTA, Ctrip, and Institute of China News Service Economic View.

Under the entrustment of the conference organization committee, Dr. Wu Liyun of CTA Institute of Tourism Industry and Enterprise Development chaired the roundtable talk of “Tourism Industry and New Economy”. The distinguished experts focused on tourism IP economy, leisure tourism, all-for-one tourism, and other hotspots of tourism development, discussed the new business activities of future tourism development, and made the in-depth analysis of the relationship between new economic activities and tourism industry development.
