On the morning of August 29, in Beijing, China Tourism Academy (CTA) held the Meeting of Welcoming the New Postdoctoral Fellows and Appraising the Research of the Leaving Postdoctoral Fellows in the year of 2017. This meeting was chaired by CTA Vice President Li Zhongguang. The VIP attendees were Director Liu Lianjun of the National Office of Postdoctoral Administration Committee, CTA President Dai Bin, and Huang Lili from the Department of Personnel of the China National Tourism Administration.

At the meeting, Vice President Li Zhongguang read the name list of the seven new postdoctoral fellows in 2017, and President Dai Bin issued the Certificates of Postdoctoral Fellowship Approval to those fellows.

Director Liu Lianjun gave positive feedbacks about CTA postdoctoral research base construction. He said that the tremendous potential of tourism industry development would require more excellent scholars, and expressed his hope that the postdoctoral fellows could make full use of the opportunity of working and doing research at CTA postdoctoral research base and try to be professional experts in the field of tourism research.

In his speech, President Dai Bin introduced CTA requirements for the postdoctoral fellows. He said that CTA established the first postdoctoral base of tourism management research with the aim of fostering strategic scholars who could serve for the national strategy. And he specified the four requirements for the fellows: (1) have a strong feeling of service for tourism industry and contribution to the State; (2) diligently explore academic research in international view and with Chinese characteristics; (3) immerse in the atmosphere of question-minded and result-oriented theory; and (4) dedicate to postdoctoral research work.

The leaving postdoctoral fellows Guo Na, Wang Lili, Wang Liangju, and Peng Jian reported their respective postdoctoral research, which was appraised by an expert group consisted of Prof. Zhang Guangrui from Tourism Research Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Prof. Gu Huimin from Beijing International Studies University, CTA President Dai Bin, CTA General Statistician Tang Xiaoyun, and CTA Chief Researcher Song Ziqian.
