President Dai Bin Surveyed in Prominion Publishing

On the morning of September 21, a team led by Mr. Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Academy (CTA), surveyed in Beijing Prominion Publishing Co., Ltd.

As introduced by Mr. Xiao Jun, Party Secretary of Prominion Publishing at the symposium, Prominion Publishing is a cultural system reform pilot entity determined by the former GAPP and its predecessor can be traced back to the magazine Agricultural Machinery established in 1958, specialized in newspaper publishing and new media business. Prominion owns 24 journals, 1 newspaper and 6 new media, covering automobile, engineering machinery, agricultural equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment, cultural tourism, and social sciences. Most of its journals rank top in industry influence and brand awareness among peers in China. With new media and service products also growing rapidly, Prominion has grown into a grouped newspaper and publishing company boasting optimized structure and certain scale and strength. In 2018, the journal Travel and Photography was launched with the purpose of “Building a Local Image with the National Image”. Mr. Xiao Jun expressed the hope to have more cooperation opportunities with the CTA.

Mr. Dai Bin said that the three transformations and reforms over the past 60 years, from Agricultural Machinery to Car Owner and from Digital Photography to Tourism and Photography, have fully mirrored Prominion’s spirit of innovation. He hoped that Prominion can increase creative writing efforts in journals, tap into consumer pain points in promotion, and upgrade the Tourism and Photography as a journal of “niche quality, mass sharing”. Mr. Dai Bin were willing to cooperate more on tourism with Prominion.

Then the team visited the Prominion Publishing Exhibition Hall to get a better picture of the Prominion history and future development strategies. They also visited the new media Banban and the Editorial Department of the Tourism and Photography.

Participants include Mr. Liu Zelin, Editor-in-Chief of Prominion Publishing, Ms. Xie Yanli, Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Director of the Tourism and Photography, Deputy Editor-in-Chief Xie Ruanhong, Deputy Researcher Yang Honghao, Deputy Researcher Zhang Yang of the Institute of Tourism Industry and Enterprise Development, Deputy Researcher Zhang Yang, Deputy Researcher Hu Fusheng of the Institute of Tourism Policy and Strategy Studies, and Dr. Li Ning and Dr. Li Rui of the Institute of Tourism Industry and Enterprise Development.
