CTA Recently Held the Workshop on China-USA Tourism Research Cooperation

On Jan. 21 and 26, China Tourism Academy (CTA) held the Workshop on China-USA Tourism Research Cooperation. The conference was attended by CTA President Dai Bin, CTA Vice President Li Zhongguang, Prof. Wang Youcheng, Associate Dean of UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management, Dr. Zhao Zihe, Assistant to Director of Scientific and Technological Center of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Chief Officer Zhang Qin of China Resources Healthcare Group Innovation Undertaking Department, and Senior Deputy Manager Chen Nan of Air China Internet Income Department, etc.

President Dai Bin spoke high of the achievements made in the China-USA Tourism Research Summit & Industry Dialogue 2017. And he expressed that CTA would like to further strengthen China-USA tourism conference exchange, scientific investigation, report release, data cooperation and promotion of tourism industry development. He also proposed the specific requirements for the summit & dialogue 2018 and gave instructions on research on specific indices of the international tourist destination, visiting scholar exchange, and post-doctoral research, etc. In addition, he stated that CTA would like to take UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management as a strategic partner, and jointly advance more adequate and practical cooperation of China-USA tourism research. 

Prof. Wang Chengyou reported the information of China-USA Tourism Research Summit & Industry Dialogue 2017 and proposed the protocol for preparing the summit & dialogue 2018. And he introduced the progress of tourism research and the related projects and joined the discussions of MMGY Global healthcare tourism survey and the opening of new China-USA direct flights. 

The conference also released the information that Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and University of Nevada, Las Vegas would visit CTA. 

Other CTA staffs who attended the conference included Director Xia Shaoyan of Research Administration Department, Dr. Yang Honghao of Institute of Tourism Industry and Enterprise Development, Dr. Huang Huang of Institute of Regional Tourism Planning and Development, Dr. Li Ning of CTA Post-doctoral Research Base, and those at the Laboratory for TCM Health Tourism.
