On the afternoon of Jul. 16, Ted Osius, Google Asia Pacific Vice President of Public Policy and Government Affairs, led a delegation to CTA. President Dai Bin warmly welcomed them. Both parties had in-depth discussions on topics of interest.


Vice President Ted Osius said that Chinese culture has a long history, and Google is actively promoting art and cultural projects to help the world better understand Chinese history, culture, art and language. Google has cooperated with dozens of museums and art galleries in China to launch the "view China" APP. Users can visit museums and art galleries online through their mobile phones. Google is willing to further cooperate with the CTA and continue to promote cooperation in various aspects, so as to promote cultural and tourism exchanges between China and the United States.


President Dai Bin highly affirmed Google's efforts and achievements in promoting the dissemination of Chinese culture and art and inbound tourism. He hopes that in the future Google can cooperate with more Chinese museums, art galleries and other cultural and art institutions to not only spread high culture and art, but also pay attention to the cultural needs of the general public, not only focus on the material cultural heritage, but also attach importance to the intangible cultural heritage, so as to promote cultural understanding and exchanges between China and the United States as well as the rest of the world. He hopes that Google can not only promote two-way tourism exchanges between China and the United States, but also promote two-way tourism exchanges between China and the United States and other countries; while attracting more tourists from Europe and the United States to enjoy and experience the splendid history and culture of China, it also encourages more Chinese tourists to visit museums and art galleries in the United States and other countries. President Dai Bin expressed his willingness to explore any possible cooperation with Google in cultural and tourism exchanges.


Both parties highly affirmed the past and current cooperation, conducted in-depth discussions on the future cooperation and reached preliminary consensus on some issues.


Participants from Google also include Google China Director of Public Policy and Government Affairs Zhu Yinghuai, Google China Senior Manager of Public Policy Department Liu Jia and Director of Public Policy and Government Affairs (Hong Kong) Tan Yuchuan.


Participants from CTA also include Director Yang Jinsong and Dr. Liu Xiangyan from the International Institute.
